Marker.io is a good visual bug-reporting tool. Your client drags a box around the broken thing, types what's wrong, and you get a screenshot with the browser and URL attached. If that is the job you need doing, it does it well.
It also has a meter that catches people out, and an agency plan that we think is genuinely better value than ours in one specific case. Both are worth knowing before you commit.
The meter: page views, on a bug tool
Here are the published plans, billed annually:
| Plan | Per month | Users | Projects | Page views |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $39 ($59 monthly) | 3 | up to 10 | 5,000/mo |
| Team | $149 ($199 monthly) | 15 | up to 50 | 25,000/mo |
| Agency | $99 ($129 monthly) | 15 members + 50 guests | 50 active | — |
Extra seats are $4/mo each on Starter and $6/mo on Team, billed annually.
The page-view line is the one to think about. A bug-reporting widget is metered by how many pages your visitors load, not by how many bugs anyone reports. Those are very different numbers, and only one of them has anything to do with the value you're getting.
On a staging site this is a non-issue — 5,000 page views is plenty when the only people looking are you and one client. On production it is a small site. 5,000 page views a month is a few hundred visitors. If you want a "report a problem" button live for real customers, the entry plan will not hold it, and the next step is $149.
To be fair to Marker.io: their pricing page does not state what happens when you exceed the page-view limit, so we are not going to guess at it. The relevant point stands either way — the number that governs your plan is your traffic, and your traffic will grow for reasons that have nothing to do with bug reports.
The agency plan, and where it beats us
This is the part we would rather not have found, so here it is up front.
Marker.io's Agency plan is $99/mo billed annually and includes 50 active projects, 15 members and 50 guests. Fifty client sites.
Our equivalent: Pro is $79/mo for five projects, and extra client sites are $12/mo per five. Getting to fifty means $79 plus nine blocks — well past the point where we would rather talk to you about a Scale plan than keep adding blocks.
So for a specific, real customer — an agency that wants visual bug reporting across dozens of client sites and nothing else — Marker.io's Agency plan is better value on project count than we are. We are not going to pretend otherwise on our own blog.
The honest distinction is scope. Marker.io covers one of the six surfaces we run. If what you need across those client sites is bug reporting plus a CSAT survey plus a changelog plus a testimonial collector plus a roadmap board, the alternative isn't a cheaper Marker.io plan — it's four vendors, four dashboards and four invoices, three of which get more expensive as your clients' teams engage. That is the arithmetic on our comparison page, and it is where we think we win.
If it's bug reports only, at that scale, go and read their agency page. If it's the wider job, what we built for agencies works through the per-client arithmetic — including the per-site cost at five, ten and twenty clients, and the roles that let a client see their own site and nothing else.
What we would check before buying either
- Find the unit. Marker.io's is seats, projects and page views. Ours is widgets and projects. Neither is hidden; both are one line on a pricing page that most people skim past.
- Ask whether you control it. Seats you control. Page views you do not, and they only ever go up.
- Price the success case. Take the traffic you hope to have in a year and find it on the table. That is the real price.
Where we sit
Feedback Magic is flat: $29/mo for five widgets on one project, $79/mo for twenty-five widgets across five projects, extra client sites at $12/mo per five. Page views, reviewers, responses and voters are unlimited and never counted, so a bug widget on a production site costs the same as one on staging.
Two more things we would rather say than have you discover:
- Marker.io has no free plan and neither do we — theirs is a 15-day trial, ours is seven days. Neither of us lets you sit on free forever.
- They are a specialist and we are not. Years of work on exactly this workflow, integrations we do not have, and a track record we cannot claim. Our annotation widget is one of six sharing a dashboard, which is only the right trade if you want the other five.
Every Marker.io figure here was read off their pricing page on 27 July 2026. Prices change — check theirs, and check ours.
On the numbers: every competitor price here was read off that vendor's own pricing page on July 27, 2026, not from a comparison listicle — three of the six we first checked were materially wrong. Pricing changes; if you are reading this much later, check the vendor's page and tell us if we are stale.
Give every client site its own feedback queue, without buying seats → Feedback, surveys, visual annotation, changelog, a voting board and testimonials on one flat plan. Embed them or send them as a link. Responses, visitors and page views are never metered. The like-for-like comparison is Pro at $79 against about $261/mo across four vendors. 7-day free trial, no card.
